The Chonnam National University Biomaterial R&BD Center (BMC) was established for the purpose of providing full-cycle customized integrated support from the development to the commercialization of products related to the bio-healthcare industry, one of the future growth engine industries.
In particular, based on professional empirical infrastructure related to non-clinical medical device testing (cells, tissues, animals, animal alternatives, etc.), we specialize in licensing consulting, safety, and efficacy evaluation. We are also promoting related corporate support and professional workforce training.
Our center has acquired full AAALAC-I accreditation for laboratory animal facility management from the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International. Furthermore, we are continuously striving to become a global specialized non-clinical demonstration institution by being designated as a clinical trial institution for veterinary medical devices and veterinary drugs by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and registered as the region's first regulatory affairs (RA) expert training institution for medical devices.
